Joined Together - Church Extension Fund

Church Extension Fund is a unique ministry that provides capital funding and financial services to congregations, schools, and missions of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

CEF provides funds for the purchase of property and the construction and expansion of facilities for congregations and schools throughout the District. Funding for these projects comes through investments in CEF made by members of District congregations.

What makes Church Extension Fund unique is the double benefit gained in a CEF investment. CEF investors receive a reasonable rate of return on their investment. At the same time, they receive the satisfaction of knowing their investment is being used to equip schools and congregations with an effective tool for worship, education, fellowship, witness and service to its members and surrounding community.

2012 Offering Circular

CNH District Church Extension Fund's Offering Circular for 2012 is now available, furnishing you with our year end information and current opportunities for investing in church expansion in the District. Be sure to review the Offering Circular before making any investment decision, whether for a new investment or a reinvestment.

The new Offering Circular is effective as of May 14, 2012, and replaces all prior versions of the Circular. A copy of the Circular is sent to all current investors, and additional copies may be obtained from your congregation's volunteer CEF Representative or from the District CEF office.

CEF on "In Touch"

The CNH District’s “In Touch” email newsletter has been rewritten to take better advantage of current web publishing tools. In line with this effort, CEF’s articles are now available in the “In Touch” category of a new CEF WordPress blog.

Our blog may be read by clicking on the In Touch Articles link in the heading of the CEF website, or by browsing to http://blog.cnhcef.org. The most current “In Touch” article will always be available directly from the District newsletter; earlier articles may be read by reviewing the blog’s article history.

CNH District CEF Launches Mission Grant Program

Time to Spruce Up the Place?

For a limited time CEF is offering a Repair and Refurbishment Loan. This new type of loan offers District churches and schools an opportunity to immediately make needed repairs and pay for them over time.

Repair and Refurbishment loans offer advantageous terms and repayment schedules, with low fees, reduced documentation, and at a low rate of CEF’s Cost of Funds plus 1/4 %. Loans may be taken for up to $150,000, and are offered first-come-first-served for a District maximum of $1 Million.
